what compels us?

This week, Christians around the world will celebrate the most historic and central event of their faith. First, the crucifixion where Christ died on the cross as a ransom for sin, a way to pay the price each of us deserves due to our sin. If that were it, the sacrifice on our behalf would be amazing. But it's not, the fact is we celebrate an empty tomb. The only recorded case in history where a person raises himself from his own physical death! Reliving the event year after year can dull, dampen or trivialize the sharp, amazing and astounding reality of this event. Yes, Christians everywhere experience an unspeakable joy of knowing a risen and living person. Jesus is alive today and He is at work around the world. He invites you to come and know Him personally. Here's a great website to read once you realize you need Him

As long as there are people who do not know and experience this reality, we long to share both in words and actions how knowing Him transforms everything we do. He compels us to serve, show integrity, love one another and set an example for others to follow. We have been blessed by knowing Him and our heart rejoices with knowing that others will come to Him as we give our lives in His service.
