An update from Elgin, IL

Saturday afternoon 1/20/2007 we made our way from Wheeling to Elgin for our three week stay here. A few days before training started, we received a generous gift that helped cover all that was need for the tuition, living expenses and childcare during this whole time. We thank God for His faithful provision of our every need.

We have enjoyed the change of pace, the variety, the many individuals, couples, backgrounds, stories, exciting destinations and in general, the sense that God is actively doing many great things throughout the world. As a family it has been good to have more time to interact as father, mother, son and daughter. For example, tonight, before putting the kids to sleep we had fifteen minutes of hide'n'seek. We had dinner with an older couple from Oregon, who is on their way to Athens, Greece to work among refugees. They had us over along with a family who is heading to Moscow, Russia to do a variety of things, among which is a regular business, but also to work among youth in leadership development.
We still have much to learn and prepare for - stay in touch and we'll do the same.
